Bartlett- Fruits August-September 500-600 Chill hours. Tolerate hot summers. Very sweet and aromatic with classic pear flavor. Juicy and smooth, yellow skin that bluxhes when ripe. Self-fruitful in SoCal
Hood- Fruits June to early July 100-200 Chill hours. Bell shaped, medium to large. Smooth, light green turning yellow when ripe. White, smooth, juicy and sweet. Self-fruitful
Kieffer- Fruits September-October 200-300 Chill hours. Medium to large. Sprightly flavor. Great for canning and cooking. Tolerates hot climates. Self-fruitful.
Pineapple- Fruits June-July 200 Chill hours. Large fruit with russeted skin. Unique flavor with a hint of Pineapple. Partially self-fruitful, bears heavier with a pollinizer.
Seckel- Fruits September-October 500 Chill hours. Small, rounded, squat and short necked. Olive green turning yellow-brown with red blush when ripe. Fine grained, creamy and extremely sweet.
Southern Barlett- Fruits June-July 400 Chill hours. Medium to large, smooth, bright green turning golden yellow when ripe. Self-fruitful.
Southern King- Fruits May-July 400 Chill hours. High quality traditional pear. Good for fresh eating. Self-fruitful.
